This morning, I had a powerful encounter with God that reminded me of how near He is, and how willing He is to move on our behalf—even in the small, unexpected places of life.

A friend had just shared a verse with me that deeply connected to what I experienced:

“God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend.”
— Job 37:5 (NKJV)

It struck me deeply. So often we focus on why we can’t understand what God is doing. But today, the Spirit shifted my heart to ask instead:
“How can I understand and cooperate with His marvelous work?”

A Strange Attack on Ralph

Late last night, I noticed something was wrong with my dog, Ralph. He was wobbling, unable to walk or stand properly, and he seemed confused—like he wasn’t fully present. I prayed for him before bed, but by morning his condition had worsened. His left ear drooped, and his body leaned to the left as if something had overtaken his balance and awareness.

I carried him in my arms and went to sit in the presence of the Lord. I didn’t know what to do—only that God had the answers.

A Word in the Spirit

As I prayed and waited, the Holy Spirit reminded me of a recent conversation with the same friend who had shared Job 37:5. We had talked about how video games can create a false sense of success—tricking the brain with dopamine releases even though no real accomplishment has taken place.

Then I heard a single word: “hallucination.” Immediately, I sensed in my spirit:
“Mahjong is the same as video games.”

It may sound strange, but in that moment I discerned that Ralph was under a spiritual attack—something rooted in deception, confusion, and false perception. I didn’t need all the details to act. I simply prayed to break any spell or spiritual influence that might have been oppressing him.

I placed Ralph back on the floor. To my amazement, his ear lifted, and he stood upright. He began to walk around, regaining his strength and focus like nothing had ever happened.

Marvels Beyond Our Understanding

God had moved. He did something marvelous—something I couldn’t fully explain but was undeniably real.

It reminded me of this verse:

“For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.”
— 1 Corinthians 2:16

We may not always comprehend the full scope of His work, but we can still understand and cooperate with His Spirit. We can tap into His wisdom by being still in His presence, listening like Mary at the feet of Jesus, and responding as He directs.

Final Thoughts and a Prayer

In a world filled with deception, spiritual traps, and counterfeit comforts, this experience was a powerful reminder that we must remain alert and spiritually sensitive. God is speaking. He is moving. And if we remain connected to Him, He will show us things we could never figure out on our own.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
— Matthew 6:33

My prayer is that this testimony encourages you to seek the Lord with a fresh hunger. Sit at His feet. Ask Him questions. Trust that He wants to reveal His mysteries to you. And when He speaks—move in faith. You’ll witness His marvelous works firsthand.
