A Powerful Prayer For Time Such As This

Do you ever feel like the world around us is spinning out of control?

The news is heavy. Our schedules are packed. And sometimes, it feels like we’re holding everything together with one hand while life slowly unravels with the other.

Whether it’s the pressure of responsibilities, silent pain no one sees, or fear about what’s ahead—there’s often a deep, unspoken longing within us. A craving for something unshakable. Something real.

That’s where prayer comes in.

But what do we pray? And how?

You can begin with Scripture—like Ephesians 3:14–21—letting the Word shape your words:

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father [f]of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Just eight verses—yet they are packed with deep truth and spiritual power.
This passage teaches us how to posture our hearts in prayer: recognizing who we pray to—the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose love and power know no bounds.

Paul prays that we would be strengthened in our inner being, that Christ would dwell in our hearts through faith, and that we would be rooted in love—able to grasp the vastness of His love and be filled with all the fullness of God.

Verses 20–21 remind us: God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to His power at work in us.

So—what do you need today?
Let this passage shape your conversations with Jesus, the One who holds the universe.

Prayer is powerful—not because of our words, but because of the One we’re speaking to.
He is faithful—and He answers with wisdom, goodness, and perfect timing.
