Postcard – Setting Sail

Description

Each of us is like the boat depicted in this painting.   We can choose to sail through the vast ocean by our own will—experiencing moments of calm as well as storms with towering waves. In such a journey, we must face and resolve challenges on our own, regardless of the circumstances.

But we can also choose humility and surrender—laying down our pride and stubbornness—and allow God to help us. When we’re willing to place ourselves in God’s hands and let Him guide the direction of our journey, we can enjoy the calm seas and also rest peacefully through the fiercest storms, trusting Him to carry us through difficult times.
