We are Thankful this Thanksgiving!
This year has gone by so fast. September is almost over and Canadian Thanksgiving is just around the corner! It’s time to reflect on all the kindness and support surrounding us. Let’s take the time to show our appreciation and say thanks.
Thanksgiving originated as a time to celebrate the harvest and be thankful for having the yield for the coming year. Over the years, it evolved to become an occasion for families and friends to gather and enjoy each other’s company. The dinner would include the traditional favourite: Roast turkey and pumpkin pies. There would also be wine or apple cider to accompany the meal, followed by tea or coffee with the pumpkin pie. Oh…. how we miss the sight, smell and the company of the fellowship!
