What does a miracle look like to you?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

According to Bible Study Tools, a miracle is \u201can occurrence that is above nature and beyond human ability. It demonstrates the intervention of a power not limited by the laws of matter or mind\u2014a power that interrupts the fixed order of natural law. It is a supernatural power at work.\u201d<\/p>

When we look at the life of Jesus, we see so many miracles\u2014he healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, and even calmed the wind and the sea. These were extraordinary and awe-inspiring events. Because of that, we often expect miracles to look dramatic and grand, and in doing so, we sometimes overlook the quiet, subtle miracles that surround us daily.<\/p>

Sometimes, we even try to dictate how God should move, placing limitations on His ways instead of trusting and honouring His sovereignty.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

One definition of \u201cmiracle\u201d that really resonates with me is how my pastor described it through the Chinese word for miracle\u2014\u201cShen Ji<\/strong>.\u201d In this word, \u201cShen<\/strong>\u201d means God, and \u201cJi<\/strong>\u201d means work or evidence. Together, \u201cShen Ji<\/strong>\u201d means the work of God. With that understanding, every moment, every breath, every sign of life is a miracle. Life itself is the evidence of God’s hand at work.<\/p>

I believe in miracles\u2014not just in receiving them when something happens, but in walking in the miraculous. I long to live with the kind of faith that walks on water and moves mountains. More than anything, I want to live a supernatural life, just as Jesus did.<\/p>

I pray that we continue to recognize and appreciate the miracle of everyday life.
