Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you – 1 Peter 5:7 NKJV
The key is to let go. Turn your eyes to Jesus.
Are you battling with anxiety? I do too. It’s something I struggle with often. But what helps me the most is knowing God cares for me. He sees me, He knows me, and He understands my fears. When everything around me feels uncertain and ever-changing, I find my solid foundation in Jesus Christ, who never changes. His word is not only true – it is alive. I have personally experienced His goodness, and I can say with certainty that my God has never failed me.
I’d like to share a few steps that have helped me in my journey with anxiety:
And as I write this, it also serves as a reminder to myself because I’m going through it right now.
1. It is a choice: Do you want to let go?
Letting go isn’t always easy, but it starts with a decision. Do I trust God enough to release my worries into His hands? Do I believe He will carry me through? Surrender begins with a choice. A choice to trade fear for faith, control for trust, and anxiety for His perfect peace.
2. Where do you let go?
Not just anywhere, but into the hands of Jesus. When we let go, we need to place our burdens in the right hands – His hands. The world may offer temporary distractions, but true peace comes only from resting in Him.
3. How do you let go?
Through prayer, surrender, and trust. It’s a daily process of laying our fears before Him and choosing to believe in His promises. When anxiety rises, turn to His word, speak His truth over your life, and remind yourself that He is in control.
A Short Prayer For Your Anxiety:
Lord, I come before You with my burdens, my fears, and my anxious thoughts. I know You care for me, and I choose to cast my worries upon You. Help me to trust You completely, even when I don’t understand. Fill my heart with Your peace, and remind me that You are always with me. Thank You for Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
